Sifu Lok Sang Lee
Sifu Lok Sang Lee, born in Hong Kong, began his martial arts training at the age of ten under Sifu Wei Wu in Hung Sing Choy Lay Fut. At the same time, he mastered Tae Kwon Do and Judo. In 1968, he took first place in Tae Kwon Do's Full-Contact Grand Championship and took second place in heavy weight sparring and overall championship in Hong Kong's Judo Championship sponsored by the Hong Kong Youth Association.
In 1970 Sifu Lee immigrated to the United States. He continued his Kung Fu and Lion Dance training under Sifu Wong Cheung of Yau Kung Moon Kung Fu. He then studied Northern Shaolin and Buk Sing Choy Lay Fut under Sifu Lai Hung. During that time, he participated and won many titles in both full-contact sparring and form competitions in the United States. Upon Sifu Wan Tak Kei of Yau Kung Moon settling in San Francisco during the early 70's, Sifu Lee began his life long dedication to the practice of Yau Kung Moon Kung Fu and Lion Dance. He became one of Sifu Van's top student and later taught in Tak Kei Van Kung Fu Association.
SIFU In 1975, the Lok Sang Lee Yau Kung Moon Kung Fu Association was established to promote Yau Kung Moon Kung Fu and the art of Lion Dancing. Sifu Lee also became the Head Coach of Lee On Dong Association, San Francisco Lee's Youth Group, Hip Sing Association, and Ying Association. In 1983, he was co-founder and president of Yau Kung Moon Kung Fu Sport Association, U.S.A.
Since his arrival in the United States, Sifu Lee has provided Kung Fu and Lion Dancing lessons to multitudes of students. For those students who cannot afford lessons, Sifu Lee has provided free lessons... As long as the student wants to learn, Sifu Lee is willing to teach. Sifu Lee currently serves as board member and advisor to Yau Kung Moon Kung Fu Sport Association, U.S.A.
